The Telephone
Or L’Amour à Trois
The collaboration between Varenka Theunynck (Toneelacademie Maastricht) and Annelies Deweerdt (Fontys Academy of the Arts) started as a school project. In search of staging operatic repertoire in a physical way they found a sharp, comic language that finds its roots in the music and challenges conventions. The production continues this season upheld by Ghent based opera collective Close-Opera.
